Sunday Stash #36

Today's Sunday Stash is being hosted by Gemma over at Pretty Bobbins so make sure you pop over to find the linky.

I am keen to foster out Sunday Stash once a month and so please let me know if you are interested in hosting. The thumblink linky tool is free for your first time and free for text only linkys.

Hawthorn Threads

What I like about Hawthorn Threads (and no I am not sponsored by ANY fabric stores featured on Sunday Stash and I pay retail), is that they list exactly how many yards they have left in stock. I have been burned by Hancocks twice when they listed fabric that they could not produce. And Hawthorn Threads are FAST with the postage from the USA to Australia.

'Lindsay's Picks' each week are on the opening page. She knows how to pull fabrics together. I also like how folks can link their projects to the fabrics. That's where I first saw the fabulous 'Fussy Fairytales' quilt.

This was a recent order that came in for me.

'Memoir' in Madrona Road by Michael Miller. I wanted to get some of this text fabric before it was all snapped up.

'Viking Map' in tan and 'Viking Boats' in Navy by Timeless Treasures. I saw these fabrics on a baby quilt Mareen from Aquamareen Crafting is making. They are so very cool for boys.

Crosshatch Sketch  in Brown, Green and Sea by Timeless Treasures. These are on the page to match with the viking prints.

Then I threw in some random fabrics that I liked. Some Dr Seuss letters and 'Woven' in Poppy for Bella by Lotta Jansdotter.

'Downtown' in 'Suzys Dollhouse' by Robert Kaufman. 'Mermaid Play' in Blossom from 'Out to Sea' by Sarah Jane. I did want it in the pale blue (Breeze) but it was out of stock at the time. Plenty more in stock now though.

I am linking up with Gemma at Pretty Bobbins for Sunday Stash. See you there!

  1. I love Hawthorne Threads too! Their scrap packs are SO generous ... I received over two yards of quality 'scraps' in various lengths for $10! Great for stash building.

  5. I've never purchased from Hawthorne Threads, but I've been looking at a few fabrics from there, so I'm glad to hear about your good experience. I just picked up that text fabric too, and I love it! It's on my cutting table now.
